The Monahans Chamber of Commerce, the Monahans High School CTE (Career and Technical Education) Department, and ACCESS in partnership with The Permian Basin Workforce Solutions would like to invite you to present your occupation/business at our annual regional career/job fair. This event will take place on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at the Ward County Event Center. The purpose of this fair is to highlight our local/regional business career/employment opportunities to the students of Monahans High School and surrounding school districts. Our goal for this event is to give our students real world exposure to our local/regional business and industries for them to gain insight to the opportunities that are available and to understand what it takes to be successful in your career field. Meeting industry firsthand can help our students understand the importance of taking their education and career preparation seriously. This event will also provide an opportunity for your business to recruit entry-level employees. Your participation will enable our students to have real world transition from high school into the realities of entry level workforce openings.
When: Thursday, January 16th, 2025 | Time: 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Where: Ward County Event Center – 1525 E. Monahans Pkwy, Monahans, TX 79756
You will either have an area available for presentation that will be inside or outside the Event Center
(inside – in a normal booth format, outside – area for heavy equipment demonstrations).
There will be a hospitality room available throughout the day that will have breakfast items, snacks, drinks, sandwiches, etc. Please let us know if you are interested in talking to students about immediate job opportunities (part/full time employment, summer jobs, internships, job shadowing, guest speakers, etc.). In addition to this, we are also looking for employers that are interested in participating in mock interviews or career acquisition training. With this information, we can inform the students of your intent and have them prepared with resume/cover letter information.
